Plastic Waste Problem

Ken :

I recently saw a news report that plastic bags were found in the stomach of dead whales.

Mary :

That’s terrible. It is said that a huge amount of plastic waste is gathering in the ocean. It gradually breaks down into small pieces and becomes microplastics.

Ken :

Fish and other marine animals eat these plastics and that eventually affects the health of humans.

Mary :

That’s true. ❶The problem is that plastic waste takes a long time to decompose.

Ken :

What can we do to help living things in the ocean?

Mary :
