Yasashii Nihongo
　One way to create a barrier-free  society/in Japan/is using yasashii nihongo.// It is easy enough for people/who have limited knowledge of Japanese.// Some features are as follows://

•One sentence is no longer than 24 characters/with one subject and one verb.// •Complex kanji  expressions/are not used.//

　The idea of yasashii nihongo/was developed/after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake/in 1995.// In the disaster area,/people who were not fluent in Japanese or English/suffered.// They could not get important information.//
　Today,/many people come to Japan from overseas.// Yasashii nihongo/is helpful for them.// Let’s use the “easy and kind” Japanese.//
