I would like to introduce the Kintaikyo Bridge in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi
Prefecture.
The Kintaikyo Bridge is often called one of Japan’s most elegant wooden bridges.
It was completed in 1673 and continued standing until 1950.
That is when it was struck by a strong typhoon and collapsed, but fortunately, it was
rebuilt in 1953.
Look at this photo.
The bridge has five beautiful arches on huge pillars.
I really like this bridge.
