When did you decide/to become an animal photographer?//

Iwago:

When I was 19.// My father went to the Galapagos Islands/to take photos.// I went there/to help him.// Boobies hatched from eggs/in front of my eyes.// A sea lion patted my shoulder.// I was happy/to get close to them.// Those experiences were exciting.//

Why do you take photographs of nature?//

Iwago:

Today,/many children don’t have a chance/to see nature in the wild.// I want to take pictures/in order to develop their interest.// We have lessons/to learn from nature.// We are part of it.// We are in nature’s circle of life.// We must remember that.//
