　Have you ever heard of Doraemon?// He’s a cat-type robot/with “emotional circuits.”// He can communicate with people.// He can cheer up others.// Doraemon shares pleasure and sadness.// However,/he’s seen only in cartoons.// He’s different from today’s artificial intelligence,/or AI.//
　AI is developing/year by year.// Someday,/Doraemon may become real.//

　We’ve already developed some useful tools with AI.//
　For example,/have you ever used a cleaning robot?// This robot was invented/to clean rooms automatically.// It adjusts its power/to the amount of dust.// It recognizes obstacles in rooms.// After cleaning,/it returns to its station.// These functions are controlled by AI.//

　Are human emotions understood by AI?// Some people keep a pet robot.// The owner’s facial expressions and voice/are collected and analyzed by AI.// When the owner is kind,/the pet becomes friendly.// But emotion isn’t created/by AI technology yet.//
