Roots & Shoots
The number of chimpanzees has been rapidly decreasing in recent years.//
During her research, Dr. Jane Goodall found that the cause of this is climate change and unsustainable human lifestyles.//
Around 1986, she started to take action to save wild animals.//
She travels around the world, giving talks about the conservation of nature.//
She started a movement called Roots & Shoots, beginning with a group of high school students in Tanzania in 1991.//
It is a group to support young people in helping people, animals and the environment.//
These days, Roots & Shoots has groups all over the world and has continued to spread.//
Dr. Goodall believes we can make a significant change toward a better world when billions of people take action and change their lives to save our planet.//
The time will soon come when young people who have attended Roots & Shoots will be able to solve environmental problems.//
