What do you think about treating pets just like human beings?// In my opinion, it is wrong to treat animals as if they were the same as us.//


　　First of all, the things pets really want are different from what humans think they want.// For example, I often see dogs wearing clothes when walking along with their owners.// But I don’t think they feel comfortable in man-made clothes because they are already kept warm by their own fur.//

　　Second, treating animals like humans may be bad for our health.// Some people share everything with their pets, even their food and their beds, but animals may carry viruses and bacteria that humans have no immunity to.// Close contact with them could therefore not be good for our health.//

　　Finally, if people treat their pets as family members, they tend to go to extremes and spend too much money on them.// I once saw a restaurant on TV that serves dogs food and desserts that look exactly the same as those for humans.// I think this is overdone.//



　　Pets are nice because people can enjoy being with them and be healed by contact with them.// In my opinion, however, there should be a clear line between humans and pets.// Thank you for your attention.//
