It is critically important that all children be raised in a supportive and healthy environment.  In my opinion, it is more advantageous for young people to grow up in cities than in rural areas.  Cities offer a number of academic and cultural facilities, which help the intellectual development of children.  In the countryside, there is a lot of nature.  A child who visits such places on a regular basis will undoubtedly become interested in some of them.  In conclusion, I strongly believe that it is better for children to grow up in cities than in rural areas.  This is because cities are home to a variety of educational facilities.

　　Cities provide a number of academic and cultural facilities, which help the intellectual development of children.  A child who visits such places on a regular basis will undoubtedly become interested in some of them.  When I was a child, I lived in a major urban area, so my parents would take me to cultural events almost every weekend.  We attended book readings at the local library, art exhibitions at the galleries in the city, and festivals during the summer.  As a result of attending these events, I developed a strong interest in artistic expression, and decided to major in music at university.  If I had not visited so many stimulating places, I would not have been interested in arts or music.
