I’m in favor of learning languages other than English.// English is not the only language that can be used in the global community.// For example, Chinese is fast becoming more important in business, and various international organizations use French.// In addition, we can deepen our understanding of the cultural backgrounds and thoughts of speakers of those languages.// I agree that English is the most useful and dominant language in the world.// However, we should realize that usefulness alone is not what language is all about.// For these reasons, I support the idea of learning a foreign language other than English.//
