I am opposed to the idea of learning languages other than English. Since it is the most widely used language globally, we can communicate in English with people from many different corners of the world. In order for us to work in the global community, English is indispensable, as it is used as a tool for communication in various fields. Moreover, these days, English is becoming a vital component in educational and occupational activities in Japan. Therefore, we should concentrate our efforts on the acquisition of English. For these reasons, I disagree with the idea that we should learn languages other than English.
