Protecting the Antarctic Continent
　I believe that the protection of Antarctica is very urgent.// One of the main reasons is that global warming has already raised the temperature there by 3 degrees and the ice is melting rapidly.// According to one survey, the number of penguins is also declining.//
　Another reason is about the geographical features of Antarctica.// Antarctica surrounds the South Pole and it is twice the size of Australia.// It used to be considered a cold wasteland, but scientists now know that its ecosystem is vital to life on Earth.// It is therefore critically important for us to protect its environment.//
　Moreover, some countries wish to take oil and valuable minerals from Antarctica, but that could lead to further environmental destruction.// So, I believe that the protection of Antarctica is a very urgent issue for all of us.//
