Gender Inequality in Education
I believe that it is gender inequality that should be tackled urgently. Gender inequalities exist in many areas in the world, but it is particularly noticeable in the field of education. This is especially true in sub-Saharan Africa, where more than half the children who do not have access to education are girls.
One of the factors that make it impossible for girls to attend school is poverty. Due to poverty, many poor families cannot afford to send all of their children to school, so that more girls are forced to stay at home and do housework than boys. This is largely because of cultural practice and prejudice. There is an underlying feeling that women should do housework and education is not necessary for them.
One solution might be for developed countries to support those countries financially. I believe that depriving girls of educational opportunities is a great loss to any country, and equal access to education would certainly make the country a better place to live in.
