I propose we organize a charity flea market in the school parking lot during the school festival.
We can invite locals as both vendors and customers.
Japanese schools seem less connected to the local community than schools in my country are.
A flea market will provide opportunities for students to socialize with locals and will help develop a sense of community.
I heard another student suggest opening a café at the festival, so how about opening it in the market? Then we can have as many chances as possible to interact with locals.
I would also like to propose we collect a percentage of vendors’ sales to donate to the city’s “children’s cafeterias,” which provide meals and support to struggling children. That will help us start getting involved in social causes around us.
