　　I’d like to introduce everyone to Biei-cho.// Biei-cho is located in Hokkaido.// The city is famous for its fields that are colored like a patchwork.//
　　The city holds an annual photo contest for photos taken of its beautiful scenery.// There are strict rules about how photos can be taken, so tourists who enter fields without permission or park their cars illegally are disqualified.// The city also offers an ecotour that explains the importance of agricultural land management.//

　皆さんに美び瑛えい町を紹介したいと思います。美瑛町は北海道にあります。この町は、パッチワークのように彩られた畑で有名です。
　この町では、美しい風景を撮影した写真を対象とした年間の写真コンテストが開催されています。写真の撮り方には厳しいルールがあり、畑に勝手に入ったり、車を違法に駐車したりする観光客は失格になります。また、農地管理の重要性を説明するエコツアーも実施されています。

　　I’d like to introduce everyone to Tanohata Village.// Tanohata Village is located in Iwate Prefecture.//
　　Forestry used to be one of the main industries of the town, but in 1961, a largescale fire burned down most of the trees there.// Then, a group of university students in Tokyo began a reforestation campaign.// This volunteer activity has continued for more than half a century now.//

　皆さんに田野畑村を紹介したいと思います。田野畑村は岩手県にあります。
　かつては、林業が町の主要産業の一つでしたが、1961年に、大火でほとんどの木が燃えてしまいました。そこで、東京の大学生のグループが森林再生活動を始めました。このボランティア活動は、これまで半世紀以上も続いてきました。

　　I’d like to introduce everyone to Kasaoka City.// Kasaoka City is located in Okayama Prefecture.//
　　Its coast is well known as a breeding area for horseshoe crabs, which are called “living fossils” because they’ve barely changed for 400 million years.// The city built a Horseshoe Crab Museum to raise awareness for their preservation.// Many locals and visitors work together to help clean the beach every year.//

　皆さんに笠岡市をご紹介したいと思います。笠岡市は岡山県にあります。
　そこの海岸は、カブトガニの繁殖地として有名です。カブトガニは4億年間ほとんど変化していないことから「生きた化石」と呼ばれています。市では、カブトガニの保護の意識を高めるために、カブトガニ博物館を建設しました。毎年、多くの地元民や訪問客が協力しながら、浜辺をきれいにする活動をしています。

　　I’d like to introduce everyone to Kyoto City.// Kyoto City is one of the most attractive cities in the world for tourists.// Many tourists from other countries visit temples and shrines in Kyoto.//
　　Some tourists are not familiar with Japanese culture or rules regarding where they are allowed to take pictures.// That’s why Kyoto City produced a leaflet called AKIMAHEN that explains local rules and manners to tourists.// The leaflet has been translated into several languages.//

　皆さんに京都市を紹介したいと思います。京都市は観光客にとって世界でもっとも魅力的な都市の一つです。外国からの多くの観光客が京都の寺社を訪れます。
　観光客の中には、日本の文化や写真を撮ってよい場所に関するルールなどを知らない人もいます。そこで、京都市では、日本のルールやマナーを観光客に向けて説明する『AKIMAHEN』というリーフレットを作成しました。このリーフレットは複数の言語に訳されています。
