My Trip to San Francisco
This summer, I visited San Francisco for a whole month. It was my first time there.
I stayed with a local family and learned a lot about American culture from them. They considered me a part of their family, and I had a great time every day talking with them. During the stay, I learned from them that everyone in the house, including the guests, should be responsible for household chores.
I also had many wonderful experiences outside of the house. During weekdays, I went to a language school and studied English. At first, it was difficult for me to understand what the teachers were saying, but gradually it got easier. Someday, I want to visit the school again to improve my English skills even more. On weekends, I enjoyed sightseeing in the city. I went to Fisherman’s Wharf and had their famous lobster. Also, I rode a cable car, which gave me outstanding views of the city.
One more thing I should add: I met Ren and David at a café downtown where we shared our experiences. We talked about the difference between American and Japanese culture. It was so lovely to meet my classmates away from school.
