So,/the last planet he visited/was Earth.
The prince saw tall mountains and many roses.
He was sad to discover/that his volcanoes and rose were not so special.
Then a fox appeared. The prince wanted to play with him,/but the fox said,/“I’m not tamed.”
The little prince asked,/“What does tame mean?”
The fox explained,/“To tame me,/you must be patient until you feel/that I am unique/in all the world.” The little prince listened carefully. He took his time/and finally became friends with the fox.
The little prince learned a valuable lesson/from the fox. There were thousands of roses in the universe,/but now he knew/that his rose was the special one. The fox said,/“Sometimes we cannot see the most important things. We can see them clearly/only with our hearts. And then we become responsible forever/for the things we have tamed.”
I wanted to be together/with the little prince forever,/but he had been bitten/by a poisonous snake/and had collapsed in the sand. But,/I’m sure/his wish to cherish his beloved rose will continue to live on somewhere.
When I look up at the stars in the night sky,/I think about the little prince. Sometimes I feel sad. I hope/that he is still taking care of his rose. If the little prince comes back one day,/please tell me.
