Food Waste
① ( ) It means wasting food/we can still eat. Worldwide,/over 1.3 billion tons of food/are thrown away each year. This is one third of total food/produced in the world. With this amount of food,/we could feed all of the people/suffering from hunger. Why does food waste happen?
② ( ) In many developed countries,/people tend to buy or order more food/than they actually consume. Moreover,/stores and restaurants tend to keep more food/than necessary/for their customers. That extra food is thrown away as garbage/in the end.

In Japan,/the government made a law/in 2019. The law aims to reduce/the amount of food waste/in factories, shops, and households.
